About InvestGamble

InvestGamble was created with a simple yet powerful idea: what if removing human bias from initial investment discovery could lead to unexpected opportunities? Traditional investment research often suffers from confirmation bias, herd mentality, and limited scope. We wanted to create a tool that breaks through these barriers.

Our mission is to democratize investment discovery by providing everyone with equal access to a diverse range of assets across stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, forex, and commodities. By introducing an element of randomness, we encourage users to research assets they might never have considered otherwise.

InvestGamble started as an experiment among a group of finance enthusiasts who noticed that their investment portfolios had become echo chambers of popular opinion. Everyone was buying the same stocks that dominated headlines and social media discussions.

We wondered: what would happen if we let pure chance guide our research? We built a simple random picker and started exploring assets we'd never heard of before. Some turned out to be duds, but others were hidden gems that traditional research methods had overlooked.

This experience led to the creation of InvestGamble. We transformed our simple tool into a comprehensive platform that spans multiple asset classes and markets. The IG Index was born as a way to track what a purely random, fate-driven portfolio would look like over time.

The IG Index is our flagship experiment in random investing. Every day at noon, our system randomly selects one asset and "invests" $10 (simulated) into it. This creates a unique portfolio that represents what pure chance would produce over time.

The index serves multiple purposes:

• Demonstrates the power of diversification across asset classes
• Provides a benchmark for random vs. deliberate investment strategies
• Creates an interesting dataset for financial analysis
• Shows the long-term effects of consistent, systematic investing

While we don't recommend using randomness as your primary investment strategy, the IG Index serves as a fascinating experiment and educational tool.
